BACOLOD City – An alleged commanding officer of the Yunit Militia of the New People’s Army (NPA) wanted for rape charges was arrested at Sitio Cunalom, Barangay Carabalan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental last Saturday.

The Army’s 94th Infantry Battalion (IB) and some police units served an arrest warrant to a certain “Jude,” 68.

The warrant was issued by Presiding Judge Walter Zorilla of Regional Trial Court Branch 55.

Jude is under the custody of Himamaylan City Police Station for further investigation.

In a statement, Brigadier General Orlando Edralin, commander of the 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde), said this achievement serves as a testament to the significant role each member of the society plays in upholding peace and order and safeguarding their community from any threats posed by lawless elements.
