BACOLOD City – More or less 923,300 worth of illegal drugs were seized here and in some parts of Negros Occidental since August 9 to 11, 2019 with the apprehension of 27 persons.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confiscated P504,900 worth of suspected shabu and arrested 19 individuals while the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) seized P418,400 worth of drugs and collared eight persons.
The biggest drug haul since Friday was the recovery of 25 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P350,000 in Kabankalan City on August 9.
It was followed by another drug bust in Barangay 2 here that day with a confiscation of P124,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Other drug accomplishments last Friday were reported in Barangay Mansilingan here, with the recovery of P19,500 worth of drugs, Cadiz City – P40,000, E.B. Magalona – P9,600, and La Carlota City – P3,800.
Last Saturday, six buy-bust operations were conducted here particularly in the villages of Villamonte, 41, 38, 2, and Singcang-Airport.
Police seized P100,000 worth of drugs at Barangay Villamonte in two separate operations, followed by Barangay 41, with P68,400, Barangay 2 and 38, with P24,000 each, and Barangay Singcang-Airport with P20,000.
Ilog town also reported a drug haul amounting to P15,000 on the same day.
Over the weekend, Barangay Banago here reported a confiscation of P125,000 worth of suspected shabu yesterday.
