Good news for the Golden State Warriors.

After missing 21 games due to undisclosed reasons, star small forward Andrew Wiggins will finally make his return to the team anytime this week.

According to multiple sources including ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the former All-Star swingman is expected to be back in action early this week.

Also, Shams Charania of The Athletic added that Wiggins is planning to show up in Golden State’s attempt to defend their home court against the Oklahoma City Thunder today at 10 AM.

Wiggins finally broke his silence after rumors that his girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend drew flak in the NBA community.

According to Wiggins as per Charania, Wiggins’ absence in the 21 games Golden State played was due to his father’s critical health condition.

“The reason for Wiggins’ leave of absence since mid-February is that his father, Mitchell Wiggins, has been dealing with a serious medical condition,” Charania posted on his official Twitter account.

Despite being out for Golden State, Wiggins was reportedly doing personal workouts to be assessed by the team’s trainers’ once he formally returns.

Wiggins’ return will just be in time for Golden State’s last push of clinching a playoff spot where they are currently ranked as the no. 6 team in the Western Conference.

Golden State will only have three games remaining before the play-in kicks off against Oklahoma, Sacramento, and Portland.

Wiggins last played for the Warriors on February 14 against the Washington Wizards and dropped 29 big points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

In all the 37 games he played, Wiggins is currently averaging 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per contest.
