Alonsabe said the patient arrived in Iloilo last March after travelling to Spain.  He went back to Manila to process his papers but got stranded due to the lockdown imposed by the national authorities.

Nastranded siya didto sa Manila kay naglockdown so wala na siya kapuli. Nakapuli lang siya sang May 27 when we already allowed flights to cater returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs),” he said in an online press briefing on Tuesday.

According to Alonsabe, the patient is currently under facility quarantine in Anilao.
