BACOLOD City – A man was gunned down by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants in front of a gasoline station at Barangay Sum-ag here yesterday.

Slain was Randolf Domingo, 38, of Barangay Singcang-Airport here.

This is the third shooting incident reported here amid the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) since May 16, 2020.

Police Lieutenant Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 9, said that the victim was a former drug personality and a businessman.

He was previously arrested for a drug offense at Barangay Taculing and in the area of Police Station 2, the station commander added.

Pastrana said that the victim disembarked from his vehicle to urinate when the assailants, who were possibly tailing him, shot him at close range.

Domingo succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. The gunmen who were wearing face masks fled.

He said that they are eyeing drug-related and business-related as possible motives behind the killing.

He said that Domingo was released from jail in October 2019 and ventured into buying and selling of pigs.

The incident caused a one-hour traffic congestion in the area.
