BACOLOD City – A lifeless baby girl was found dumped outside a house of a resident at Purok Bansa, Barangay Central Tabao, Valladolid, Negros Occidental last Thursday.

This happened two days after a newborn baby boy was also found dead in a creek in La Castellana town on December 12.

Major Eric Doronila, Valladolid town police chief, said the baby’s umbilical cord was still attached.

However, police could not establish if she was a newborn child or if she was a product of an abortion.

Doronila believed that the baby was probably left there early that morning. A barangay official reported the incident to the police.

The police coordinated with the Municipal Health Office to assess the victim and then later decided to bury her at the town’s public cemetery, according to Doronila.
