Another suspect in the sexual molestation of a mute teenager was arrested afternoon of March 28 in a central Iloilo town.
Manny, 19, was arrested a day after the apprehension of two other suspects and a lady cohort. He is tagged as Iloilo province’s third most wanted person.
He was collared by virtue of an arrest for rape by carnal knowledge in Criminal Case No. 23-1524.
Judge Redentor Eugenio Esperanza of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo issued the arrest warrant on March 10, 2023. No bail was recommended.
Earlier, a composite team from different police nabbed Manny’s fellow suspects in simultaneous police operations on March 27.
They are accused of raping a teenager in 2021.
The lone lady suspect is accused of violation of Section 10 (b) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) for allegedly aiding the male suspects in assaulting the complainant.
The male suspects were minors when the alleged rape happened.
