Renowned Filipino artist Anthony Fermin is set to unveil his latest exhibition, “An Exposition with the Masters,” at the North Point Event Center, SM City Iloilo, from February 28 to March 2, 2025.
The event, presented by Galeria Lienzo and Charlie’s Art Gallery, aims to support the Philippine Red Cross-Iloilo Chapter and the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS) Panay Chapter.
Fermin’s new series delves into themes of faith, transformation, and the indomitable Filipino spirit. Drawing inspiration from prayer and gratitude, his vibrant works depict individuals erasing negativity to make way for joy and renewal. This collection reflects his journey of overcoming struggles with hope and optimism.
“Through vibrant colors and expressive forms, Fermin captures the resilience and optimism that define his artistic vision,” the exhibition notes detail.
In a unique curatorial approach, Fermin’s pieces will be showcased alongside works by esteemed Filipino Modern Masters, including Ramon Orlina, Angelito Antonio, Romeo Tabuena, Gus Albor, Lao Lianben, Isidro Ancheta, Araceli Dans, Manny Garibay, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, and Jose Joya. This juxtaposition offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience the evolution of Philippine visual art.
The exhibition is not only a celebration of art but also a philanthropic endeavor. Proceeds will benefit the Philippine Red Cross-Iloilo Chapter and POGS Panay Chapter, supporting their ongoing community health initiatives. This fusion of art and charity underscores the event’s commitment to fostering creativity while giving back to the community.
“Celebrate art, creativity, and passion while making a difference,” SM City Iloilo announced on their official Facebook page.
The exhibition will run from February 28 to March 2, 2025, at the North Point Event Center, SM City Iloilo. Art enthusiasts and patrons are encouraged to attend and support this meaningful cause.
