The Minnesota Timberwolves are slowly laying their grand plans for the NBA post-season after superstar center Karl Anthony-Towns already participated in their scrimmage session on April 7, 2024.

Last March 7, 2024, the Minnesota franchise confirmed that Towns suffered a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee and will most likely be out of the whole regular season.

However, with only four games left before the playoffs kick off, Minnesota announced that Towns might be back in their last couple of games to help him get back on track when the first round of the post-season begins.

It was The Athletic’s Shams Charania who shared that the Timberwolves are optimistic that Towns might play in their last remaining games.

It is still undetermined whether Towns will play against the Washington Wizards today, or will suit up against the Denver Nuggets the following day.

Currently, the Timberwolves are sitting at the no. 1 spot in the Western Conference but will still have to win their remaining matchups to hold the Nuggets at the second spot.

If Minnesota sweeps all four of their games, they will surely lock the top spot of the Western Conference and will gain home court advantage for the rest of the NBA post-season.

With the addition of Towns on the way for Minnesota, the squad will have more depth and efficient three-point shooting, the things that went missing for them during the one-month span when he was sidelined.

Before going down with the injury, Towns is putting up insane numbers for the Timberwolves and is averaging 22.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and three assists per game.
