Army gives donated food packs to frontliners in NegOr

BACOLOD City – The Army’s 11th Infantry Battalion (IB) distributed donated food packs to medical and security frontliners in Negros Oriental who are at risk in fighting the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

These food packs were donated by the Kaagapay LABAN sa COVID-19, in partnership with Chowking Dumaguete branch, a press release said.

The recipients were the health workers from Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital (NOPH) in Dumaguete City, Sibulan Rural Health Unit (SRHU) in Sibulan town, and Silliman University Medical Center (SUMC) in Dumaguete City.

The food packs were also given to some uniformed personnel deployed in three different Quarantine Control Points in the province.

The Kaagapay LABAN sa COVID-19 and the fastfood chain management expressed their appreciation on the immense service and sacrifices of the frontliners who are working 24 hours in the fight against COVID-19.

In these trying times, the frontliners are considered as our modern-day heroes, a press release said.

Through the donated food packs, they hope that they can fuel their heroic efforts in this fight against an unseen enemy.
