BACOLOD City – The Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde) has provided manpower and transportation assistance during the hauling of additional medical supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Negros Occidental on Tuesday.

A total of 30 boxes of assorted medical supplies and PPEs arrived at the Bacolod-Silay Airport via a C295 cargo aircraft of the Philippine Airforce from Villamor Airbase, Pasay City.

It will be used by the frontliners in their fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the province.

The supplies are part of the 150 boxes provided to Western Visayas by the Cristina Lee Dino Foundation through the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) facilitated by Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.

Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd IBde commander, said that “as a member of the Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 in Negros, our priority is the safety of all our frontliners fighting against the infectious disease.”

Pasaporte said that the donation of these additional medical supplies and PPEs are very timely to address the shortage of it.

“It is a big help to protect our frontliners in the possibility of being infected of COVID-19,” he added.
