BACOLOD City – Sans the Santa outfit but donning their uniform, personnel of 32nd Civil Military Operations (CMO) Company, 303rd Infantry Brigade and 14th CMO Battalion gave gifts to indigent families and toys to children at Sitio Kawilihan, Brgy Sicaba, Cadiz City in Negros Occidental.

A total of 150 indigent beneficiaries of the gift giving activity received the packages with five kilograms of rice, slippers, assorted clothes, canned goods, and noodles.

Captain Kelvin Bayaban, Commanding Officer of 32nd CMOC and CMO Officer of 303rd Brigade, with the support of 14th CMO Battalion led the gift giving program which highlighted the Bayanihan efforts of the said groups.

The effort sought to further reach out to the public within their area of responsibility (AOR), to spread the spirit of Christmas during the Yuletide season and to help uplift the lives of the people in the community especially the less fortunate.

The Army in Negros continues to pursue the non-traditional role of providing support to national development together with all stakeholders while performing its mandate to protect the people and secure national territory. (PIA)
