ARTA exec asks group to take active role in anti-red tape drive

BACOLOD City – Anti Red-Tape Authority (ARTA) Secretary-General Glen Badon urged  members of anti-graft and corruption group Task Force Kasanag to take an active role in eradicating if not minimizing red tape in government.

Badon issued the call during the 1st International Command Conference of TFK, a civil society group advocating against illegal drugs, corruption and criminalities, held at the Berjaya Hotel in Makati.

The participants composed of TFK regional and provincial commanders headed by national commander and founder John Chiong who is from Negros Occidental.

Badon together with Chiong signed the pledge of commitment between ARTA and TFK as partners in fighting red tape and corruption in government.

Badon said TFK members can fill in the vacuum for lack human resources for the campaign.

He said as part of Republic Act No. 11032 (Ease in Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act) additional stricter measures will be adopted by the government.

He said TFK can serve as watchdog as far as the campaign is concern.

Also in the conference was Negros Occidental provincial director P/Col. Romeo Baleros.
