After welcoming back former superstar Mac Tallo to the team, the Bacolod-Masters Sardines is determined to go for a playoff campaign after signing former PBA guard, Cyrus Tabi.

Tabi, the 18th overall pick last 2018 PBA draft, will be teaming up with Tallo as Bacolod’s main backcourt tandem.

Head coach Vic Ycasiano said that he is expecting a lot from Tabi, adding that the explosiveness and court vision he possesses will mesh well with Tallo’s aggressive style of play.

With Paolo Javelona still under negotiations with his contract, the Bacolod coaching staff can’t wait for the next move but decided to sign Tabi for more firepower.

Aside from Tabi, the squad also signed another ex-pro in JK Casiño, an ever-reliable guard way back during his Rain or Shine and TNT days in the PBA.

With Tabi and Casiño’s addition to the squad, coach Ycasiano is expecting a worthy season with the team and is hoping to vie for a playoff spot with the players he has for next season.

“This team’s all about defense, our offense will be our defense. This will be a run-and-gun team just like my team in STI, it’s basically the same. Yun ang itatakbo ko, it’s a young team that would excite MPBL fans,” said Ycasiano.
