BACOLOD CITY – The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has named Bacolod City the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (Provincial Highly Urbanized Cities Category).
Mayor Alfredo “Albee” Benitez announced the news on his official social media page Thursday: “We are proud to announce that Bacolod City has been named the Most Business-Friendly LGU.”
He added that among the top five LGUs, including Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, and Mandaue, Bacolod leads in fostering a dynamic business environment.
Benitez expressed his gratitude to Bacolodnons for their continued support, saying, “We strive to make our city a hub of opportunities.”
Benitez, along with Councilor Em Ang, City Administrator Lucel Gelvolea, and department heads Jean Ramos, Arlene Memoria, Imelda Williams, Stela Rose Huelar Joquiño, Frances Mae Llamas, and Mae Cuaycong, accepted the award at the 50th Philippine Business Conference in Pasay City on Wednesday.
“This achievement reflects our hard work in creating a city that welcomes business and fosters growth,” Benitez said.
