BACOLOD CITY – Law enforcement in Bacolod and Negros Occidental confiscated P945,200 worth of suspected shabu on April 11 and 12, resulting in two arrests.

City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) operatives apprehended Allen Jay Tumayan, who allegedly possessed 125 grams of shabu valued at P850,000, during a buy-bust in Barangay Handumanan.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, head of CDEU, stated that a .45 caliber pistol with ammunition, P1,200 in cash, including marked money, was also seized from Tumayan.

Mogato noted that Tumayan had been under surveillance for purportedly participating in drug trafficking for the past three months and claimed to use the seized firearm for self-defense.

Described by police as a high-value target, Tumayan faces multiple charges.

In a separate incident in Kabankalan City, officers arrested a 36-year-old man in Barangay Hilamonan, seizing 14 grams of shabu worth P95,200, along with drug paraphernalia.
