Bacolod signs up 800 confirmed beneficiaries for 4PH project

BACOLOD CITY – The local government has secured 800 confirmed beneficiaries for the Asenso Yuhum Residences-Arao, part of the Pambansang Pabahay Para Sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez showcased the development progress to Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development officials, highlighting the city’s efforts under the 4PH housing initiative.

The Asenso Yuhum Residences-Arao will comprise 17 buildings with a total of 4,456 units, each spanning at least 24 square meters.

With construction underway through a partnership with WRS Holdings Inc. and Scheirman Construction Consolidated Inc., the project aims to create a community-centric environment complete with amenities like parks, pools, and commercial spaces.

In a press statement, Mayor Benitez expressed gratitude for the advancements in Bacolod’s housing sector, emphasizing the collaborative work being done to provide better housing opportunities for residents.

In 2023, Bacolod became the first local government unit to partner with DHSUD to implement the 4PH program, promising affordable housing solutions to minimum-wage earners eligible for Pag-IBIG Fund loans.

Beneficiaries of this initiative are set to enjoy DHSUD subsidies, reducing their monthly amortizations significantly.
