BACOLOD City – The top 1 most wanted person of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was arrested by police at Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2 here last Wednesday.

Police Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, head of Police Station 2, identified the suspect as Antonio Uy, 49, who is temporarily residing in the said village.

Pendon said that Uy has a standing arrest warrant for murder with no bail recommended.

It was issued by Presiding Judge Phoebe Gargantiel-Balbin of the Regional Trial Court Branch 45 here dated August 31, 2022.

Pendon said the arrest warrant stemmed from a shooting incident in Barangay Sum-ag last year.

Since then, the suspect reportedly transferred from one place to another, according to Pendon.

In fact, Pendon said that the suspect was just renting a house in Barangay 2 when he was tracked and cornered by the police.

They even verified initial information about his whereabouts in Capiz and Iloilo provinces, until they were able to confirm his location here.

Pendon said they will have to check the background of Uy’s case to determine the motive.
