The fourth round of the “PRO-6 Bayanihan sa Kampo Delgado kada Sabado” was a success with the participation of the Philippine National Police Academy Alumni Association Inc. Western Visayas Chapter headed by Police Col. Pablito Asmod Jr.
This Bayanihan activity is the special program of Brigadier General Rene P Pamuspusan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support the poorest of the poor.
This time, the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 identified 250 families as recipients of relief packs composed of groceries, farm products, live chicken and molo balls.
The beneficiaries are residents of barangays surrounding Camp Delgado in coordination with their barangay chairpersons.
The Bayanihan program aims to help not only the poor but also the small farmers and livestock raisers whose products were directly purchased by PRO-6.
PRO-6 assured that all protocols under the new normal such as social distancing, wearing of facemask, washing of hands and decontamination were observed during the distribution.
“As we are getting close to the new normal since Western Visayas is now considered as Low-Risk, I can say that our Bayanihan program was of great help to the needing families during the quarantine period,” Pamuspusan said.
