BACOLOD City – Two police officers at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) were assigned to new posts effective May 27, 2020.

Police Captain Armilyn Vargas was ordered to be transferred to Police Station 8 as officer-in-charge, replacing Police Executive Master Sergeant Voltaire Sy.

Sy, who was temporarily assigned at Police Station 8, was assigned back to the Administrative Branch of BCPO.

According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, public information officer of BCPO, Vargas has already completed her two-year stint as head of Police Station 10.

Vargas’s vacated post was assumed by Police Major Ruel Culanag, who was on floating status at the Administrative Holding Unit of BCPO, following the jail break at his previous post on Police Station 3 in January this year.
