BCPO gets six new patrol vehicles

BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) received six units of Mitsubishi Strada from the city government here last Friday.

Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez turned over the new patrol vehicles to Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, BCPO director, in rites held at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).

The new vehicles will be distributed to Police Station 5 covering Barangays Granada, Alangilan, and a portion of Barangay Vista Alegre, Police Station 9 covering Barangays Cabug, Punta Taytay, and Sum-ag, and Police Station 10 covering Barangays Felisa and Handumanan.

The Traffic Enforcement Unit and the Mobile Patrol Unit of the BCPO were also recipients of the new vehicles.

These vehicles were timely given to the city police force to strengthen their police visibility, especially during the highlights of the MassKara Festival which concluded on Oct. 23.

The said vehicles will strengthen the capabilities of the BCPO on police visibility and enhance its effectiveness in police response.
