BACOLOD CITY – Thousands of Bacolodnons gathered at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) on October 20 as BingoPlus (BP) brought top-tier artists and exciting games to the “City of Smiles” in celebration of the 45th MassKara Festival.

Dubbed the “BingoPlus Day MassKara Festival Music Fest 2024,” the event marked BP’s first time hosting a music fest at the MassKara Festival. In a press briefing, Jasper Vicencio, president of AB Leisure Company, expressed his excitement.

“Today marks our growing effort to bring fun and entertainment to various communities. This is the day for all the fans of OPM,” he said.

Vicencio explained that the event was BP’s way of showing gratitude for the support they’ve received over the years. “Bacolod is the first city to welcome BingoPlus, and Bacolodnons have been very welcoming. We want to ensure they also experience extra fun and entertainment,” he added.

Vicencio recalled that BP was born during the pandemic. Despite the limitations at the time, they felt a responsibility to provide entertainment. “It’s somewhat similar to the story of the festival,” he said.

This year marks BP’s third year supporting the MassKara Festival since their partnership began in 2022, and Vicencio noted the event is getting “bigger and bigger.”

He emphasized that more people now have access to entertainment and that BP aims to reach more individuals who want to know about their brand.

“We’re creating a full spectrum of entertainment because MassKara Festival is one of the most awaited festivals,” he said.

“From playing in the comfort of their homes to expanding our efforts with concerts, pageants, and other events, we’re bringing entertainment beyond the communities,” Vicencio explained.

While bingo is a game anyone can enjoy, Vicencio highlighted that BP goes beyond gaming by focusing on the entertainment aspect, which is why they introduced various perya (fair) games to the online platform.

“This effort makes BP stand out in terms of entertainment value and our love for Pinoy games,” he said, adding that their goal is to make the experience fun and memorable.

In a media interview, brand endorser Piolo Pascual shared his thoughts on representing a brand that not only focuses on profits but also gives back to the community and organizes inspiring on-ground activities.

BP’s social responsibility arm, the BingoPlus Foundation, awarded a total of PHP 3 million to three beneficiaries during the event. The beneficiaries were the Cadiz Public Library, the Indigenous Peoples (IP) of Kabankalan City, and the Valladolid District Hospital.

Joining the awarding were Vicencio, Pascual, DigiPlus President Andy Tsui, and DigiPlus Vice President of Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Sustainability Celeste Jovenir.

Pascual remarked that BP helps the community grow and improve people’s lives. “It doesn’t stop with the app or the game,” he said.

He thanked the people of Bacolod for their overwhelming support and attendance at the venue. “I hope this is the start of something better,” he added.

The music fest featured artists like TJ Monterde, KZ Tandingan, rock band Franco, Moira Dela Torre, G22, YML, and VXON.

Pascual also serenaded the crowd, performing his song “Mangarap Ka.”

BP invited several influencers and TikTok personalities to the event.

However, due to heavy rain, Dela Torre’s finale performance was canceled for safety reasons.

The event was hosted by Eva Ronda, Baileys Acot, Kevin Montillano, and Nickie Morena.
