Blacklist International are champions once again of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season 8 after dispatching ONIC PH in just five games during the grand finals.
“Eton na yon. Hopefully yung championship na to, makukuha na naming yung respect na deserve naming. Kaya ibigay nyo na,” Blacklist head coach Bon Chan told his team as they seek their second title in a row.
Blacklist punched their ticket to the grand finals after defeating the stacked Omega PH Esports team that set up a highly-anticipated clash against the team that gave them their first-ever defeat during the regular season.
It was a tightly-contested series in the first two games after both got their respective wins but during the start of Game 3, Blacklist started to snowball its way and swept all of the remaining games.
The ever-reliable veteran duo of Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna led the team and executed the perfect shot calls during their clashes against ONIC PH.
Wise’s Bane pick strategy accompanied by OhmyV33NUS’s signature Mathilda pick helped Blacklist secure the Game 5 victory and the prestigious MPL title.
Aside from Wise and OhmyV33NUS, Mark “ESON” Gerardo, Edward “Edward” Dapadap, Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, Dexter “DEX STAR” Alaba, and Salic “Hadji” Imam were also crowned champions.
