Board performance of schools in various disciplines amidst pandemic (Part III)

In October 2021 the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Medicine announced that 1,677 out of 2,302 examinees nationwide, or 72.85%, passed the Physician Licensure Examination. In 46 schools nationwide, 1,664 out of 2,048, or 81.25% of the first takers passed. Thirteen (13) out of 254, or 5.12%, of the re-takers passed.

At the Regional level, 2 schools in Western Visayas out of 4, or 50%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level. The Region produced 13 passers out of 17 takers, or 76.47% passing percentage. There were 16 first takers and 1 repeater who took the said examination. The first takers passing percentage is 81.25%.

On the other hand, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Chemistry announced that a total of 134 out of 369 examinees nationwide, or 36.31%, passed in the Chemist Licensure Examination in October 2021. In 50 schools nationwide, 99 out of 212, or 46.7% of the first takers passed. Thirty-five (35) out of 157, or 22.29%, of the re-takers passed.

At the Regional level, 2 schools in Western Visayas out of 4, or 50%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level. The Region produced 7 passers out of 17 takers, or 41.18% passing percentage. There were 6 first takers and 11 repeaters who took the said examination. The first takers passing percentage is 100%.  The repeaters passing percentage is 9.09%.

In November 2021, the PRC Board of Civil Engineering announced that a total of 2,374 out of 6,474 examinees nationwide, or 36.7%, passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination. In 242 schools nationwide, 1,861 out of 4,048, or 45.97% of the first takers passed. Five hundred thirteen (513) out of 2,421, or 21.19%, of the re-takers passed. Charlene Grace Varrera Gelotin of University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos ranked number 2 in the said examination for Civil Engineers.  Sirgie Lowell Alegro Rufo of Carlos Hilado Memorial State College ranked number 6 in the said examination.

At the Regional level, 9 schools in Western Visayas out of 18, or 50%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level. The Region produced 133 passers out of 326 takers, or 40.55% passing percentage. There were 213 first takers and 115 repeaters who took the said examination. The first takers passing percentage is 51.17%.  The repeaters’ passing percentage is 20.87%.

The PRC Board of Architecture announced that a total of 560 out of 849 examinees nationwide, or 65.96%, passed the Architect Licensure Examination in August 2021. In 65 schools nationwide, 535 out of 729, or 73.39% of the first takers passed. Twenty-five (25) out of 120, or 21%, of the re-takers passed.

At the Regional level, 2 schools in Western Visayas out of 6, or 33.3%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level. The Region produced 19 passers out of 26 takers, or 73.08% passing percentage. There were 23 first takers and 3 repeaters who took the said examination. The first takers passing percentage is 82.61%.

On the other hand in September 2021 the PRC announced that a total of 134 out of 167 examinees nationwide, or 80.24%, passed in the Real Estate Appraiser Licensure Examination. In 25 schools nationwide, 117 out of 139, or 84.17% of the first takers passed. Seventeen (17) out of 28, or 61%, of the re-takers passed. Cezar Caballero Agtas, Jr. of Santa Isabel College of Iloilo City (SICI) ranked number 10 in the said examination. Santa Isabel College of Iloilo City is one of the newly recognized higher education institutions in the Region offering Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management program.
