A 13-year-old died from alleged electrocution while playing in a computer shop late afternoon of Saturday, February 13, in Sara, Iloilo.

Police theorized that Ronald Depatillo, a resident of Barangay Devera, the village where the incident happened, was putting on a wired headset when the incident happened.

Colonel Gilbert Gorero, Iloilo police chief, said that the victim was with several other minors, including a cousin, when the incident happened.

When Depatillo initially put on the headset, the victim told his cousin that he felt like being “grounded.”

His cousin allegedly advised not to use the same headset anymore.

But Ronald again put on the headset. This time around, he went into seizure.

The other kids apparently panicked. They managed to cut off the wire of the headset.

They also called on the computer shop owner Salustio Arellano.

Arellano took the victim to Sara District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
