Filipino NBA aspirant Kai Sotto will be supervised and coached by a former NBA chief tactician and a former champion.
Confirming his debut in the NBA G League, Sotto will be pairing up with Fil-Am sensation Jalen Green and will receive the guidance of NBA great Brian Shaw.
Shams Charamia, an NBA insider of The Athletic, first put out the news and created a buzz in the basketball world right after high school top prospects’ Isaiah Todd and Daishen Nix were reported to join the formidable duo of Sotto and Green.
Shaw was a crucial role player during the Los Angeles Lakers dynasty that won three straight NBA titles from 2000-2002.
Also, Shaw held the LA Lakers’ assistant coach duties for 2005-2011 and 2016-2019, the associate head coach for the Indiana Pacers from 2011-2013, and the head coach of the Denver Nuggets during the 2013-2015 season.
Over the last few years, Shaw was named as part of the NBA FIT program and is continuing to help aspirants as well as holding camps all over the world.
