The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) donated to five health institutions on August 12, 2024, as part of its 31st anniversary celebration.
The BSP, which also marked 75 years of central banking in the Philippines on July 3, 2024, traditionally supports institutions that provide medical services to underserved Filipinos in line with its corporate social responsibility.
Present during the event with BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. were Philippine Red Cross Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard J. Gordon, Philippine General Hospital Medical Director Dr. Gerardo D. Legaspi, Lung Center of the Philippines Executive Director IV Dr. Vincent M. Balanag, Jr., and Philippine Heart Center Administrative Services Department Manager Engr. Ricardo C. Limpin. The National Kidney and Transplant Institute was also among this year’s beneficiaries.
