To create a significant impact by breaking barriers. This is the current goal of the annual Business Leaders’ Summit. It started with the mission of honing both the students’ communication and leadership skills. These abilities are essential to equip and prepare them for the corporate world they will be facing in a few years. It hopes to unleash the creativity of every participant and challenge them to go out of the conventional – to challenge the impossible. BLS 5.0 is an excellent venue for future business-people to immerse themselves in the corporate world through a series of plenary sessions and case competitions.
The two-day conference has expanded its reach in its fifth year and is more than ready to spread the good word to the whole of Western Visayas. It is open for both senior high and college students and is priced at Php550 for non-competing participants and Php650 for those competing in the Business Case Competition. The registration fee is inclusive of BLS kit, meals, socials night, and certificate with the addition of a shirt for the competing participants. The socials night will also serve dinner for the participants. Also, if a school may be able to provide at least 50 registrants, they may send an additional (1) competing team for free (inclusive of all freebies). The said school will then be recognized as an official partner of the event.
BLS 5.0 also made sure to provide high-caliber industry speakers that excel in their respective careers, such as accounting, marketing, and management. These outstanding individuals will render talks to the participants of the conference. A case analysis competition will also put their skills to the test. They shall form teams with four (4) members each and solve real-world challenges in the industry as an application of their academic abilities. The conference also allows delegates to foster new relationships and build networks. The Socials Night is undoubtedly going to be one place where they can meet people who have the same hunger, passion, and interest for opportunities that can guide them towards the right path and enable them to grow. As the event’s highlight, BLS added a township tour as an upgrade to the entire experience. Participants will visit three partner industries just around the Iloilo Business Park area, which will expose them to the daily operations of the firms. The leaders of the said industries will also give talks to supplement the whole experience.
