BACOLOD City – Police are eyeing work-related grudges as possible motive in the killing of a cafe employee in Barangay Alangilan here on Sunday night.
The victim was identified as Randy Parcon, 35, of Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Police Captain John Christopher Masangkay, head of Police Station 5, said Parcon was on his way home past 8 p.m., when three to four unidentified men blocked his way.
“Parang inabangan siya,” he added.
Masangkay said that Parcon managed to run back to the cafe, but the suspect chased and cornered him inside the cafe.
Masangkay said that two gunshots were heard by Parcon’s co-workers inside the cafe, but they fled because of fear.
Parcon was then found later that night, with about 30 stab wounds on his body.
Masangkay said they are looking into Parcon’s former co-workers as persons of interest in the incident.
“May ginpahalin sa work na basi may nakit-an bala na indi amo sa ila,” he added.
But, the station commander said they are waiting for the statement of the cafe owner that could help them in their investigation.
