BACOLOD CITY – Authorities are awaiting autopsy results for a 32-year-old call center agent found lifeless on the roadside at Hacienda Lizares, Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, on Sunday morning.

The victim, identified as Carl Kimberlyn Degabi of Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City, was discovered half-naked with injuries to her mouth around 7 a.m., according to Police Major Rhazl Jim Jocson, deputy chief of Talisay City Police Station.

Jocson speculated that the victim was killed elsewhere and her body dumped in the area between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. The site, which is dimly lit and lacks closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, provided minimal evidence.

Degabi reportedly left home Saturday night without informing her parents of her plans or companions. Police are investigating potential motives, including allegations on social media labeling the victim as a “scammer.”

“We are not limiting our investigation to one angle. We also await autopsy results to determine if there was sexual assault,” Jocson said.
