ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Capiz logged 740 new cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19) on June 12, 2021.
Data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) indicated that the new cases is 21.17% of the 3,496 total confirmed cases.
At present, 2,588 have recovered while 168 died from the disease.
Meanwhile, Roxas City logged 34 new cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 1,722 (with 433 active cases, 1,215 recoveries and 74 deaths).
On the other hand, the town of Pontevedra has 45 new active cases, bringing the total tally to 210 confirmed cases with 18 deaths and 147 recoveries.
Mayor Esteban Dodoy Contreras has announced on Saturday that sitio Hapit in Brgy. Banque Pontevedra town was placed under granular lockdown from June 10 to 24, 2021 following the upsurge of COVID cases.
