ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Capiz approved on Tuesday the P17,543,955.36 partial budget for the salaries of the job orders, job hires, and contract of service workers of Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH).

Board Member Jonathan Sonny Besa, committee on finance and appropriations chair, said the budget request was approved on third and final reading.

The approved budget is part of the P47.5-million supplemental budget request that was stalled due to various documents requested by the appropriations committee from the executive department.

Besa clarified that the approved budget was based on the previous approved budget of RMPH.

He said that other budget items that are still “pending for approval” are the request for drugs and medicines expenses and medical and laboratory supplies expenses of RMPH.

These items are pending as RMPH management has yet to submit documents such as purchase order, delivery receipt, and requisition and issue slips of previous unaccounted expenses.

Earlier, health workers threatened to file leave if the provincial board does not approve the supplemental budget.
