BACOLOD CITY – Cebu Pacific has strengthened its network in Bacolod City by increasing the frequency of flights to and from three domestic destinations.
In a round table discussion with local media on Friday, Cebu Pacific Corporate Communications Manager for Marketing and Customer Experience, Erwin S. Colcol, revealed the airline’s updated weekly flight frequency for Bacolod routes.
For Bacolod-Manila-Bacolod, the frequency will be 42 flights in September, increasing to 47 flights in October and November.
For Bacolod-Cebu-Bacolod, there will be 14 flights in September, and this will double to 28 flights in October and November.
The Bacolod-Davao-Bacolod route will have three flights in September, increasing to five flights in October and November.
Colcol also mentioned that Cebu Pacific might deploy larger aircraft to accommodate the potential increase in air passengers during the upcoming MassKara Festival in October.
He also presented Cebu Pacific’s continuous growth projections through 2024, including a systemwide network recovery of 122 percent, 35 domestic destinations, 26 international destinations, 98 domestic and international routes, and 3,100 weekly flights as of August.
Cebu Pacific, according to Colcol, has expanded its Iloilo hub with direct flights to Hong Kong and Singapore.
Starting October 27, 2024, Cebu Pacific will operate flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong four times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Iloilo to Singapore flights will begin on November 25, 2024, operating three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Additionally, Cebu Pacific will expand its Manila hub with two new routes.
Flights to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, will start on August 16, 2024, three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The Chiang Mai, Bangkok flight will begin on October 29, 2024, three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Colcol also disclosed that Cebu Pacific has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for up to 152 aircraft, the largest aircraft order in Philippine aviation history.
The MOU includes firm orders for up to 102 A321neo aircraft, plus 50 A320neo Family purchase rights. The purchase agreement to finalize the transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year.
Cebu Pacific, Colcol added, continues to offer value-for-money fares.
