The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), has resumed its jet operations at the Bicol International Airport (BIA) starting May 1, 2022, making more seats available for everyJuan in time for the summer peak travel period.
CEB flight 5J 321, an Airbus 320, departed Manila at 3:40am, and landed at the Bicol International Airport at 4:39 am on May 1. It was welcomed with a water cannon salute.
“Since the new airport opened in October last year, we have been operating our 78-seater ATR or turbo propeller type aircraft. The addition of jet flights will enable CEB to serve more passengers with our Airbus fleet while continuously contributing to tourism and economic growth of the Bicol region,” said Xander Lao, Chief Commercial Officer at Cebu Pacific.
CEB currently flies up to five (5) times daily on the Manila – Legazpi – Manila route. It also operates flights between Cebu and Legazpi up to four (4) times weekly, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
