ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A Cebuano wanted for illegal drug peddling in Cebu City was arrested Thursday afternoon, July 13, in the house of a friend at Barangay Poblacion Proper in Mambusao, Capiz.
“Abrad”, 39, of Cebu City but temporarily residing in Barangay Pangpang Norte, was collared by members of Police Station 6 of Mandaue City Police Office and Mambusao PNP.
The suspect is facing a case for violation of Article II, Section 12, or illegal possession of drug paraphernalia under Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Mark Joseph Amar Quirante of the Regional Trial Court Branch 88 in Mandaue City, Cebu on February 21, 2023. The court barred him from posting bail.
Meanwhile, a man wanted for rape was arrested Thursday morning in Barangay Alayunan, Maayon, Capiz.
The suspect’s name was withheld by Maayon Municipal Police Station, he is facing 3 counts of statutory rape.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Acting Presiding Judge Eric Anthony A. Dumpilo of Regional Trial Court Branch 14 in Roxas City, Capiz on July 10, 2023. He was not allowed to post bail.
He is presently in the custody of Maayon PNP for proper disposition.
