BACOLOD CITY—Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) is conducting career orientations and off-site admission testing for Academic Year 2025-2026 in select local government units (LGUs) and schools in Negros Occidental this January.
Now in its third year, the initiative aims to make admission testing more accessible for students living far from CHMSU’s four campuses.
The first stop was Caliling National High School in Cauayan on January 17.
“CHMSU aims to make the admission testing more accessible to students who live in areas far from our four campuses,” said Juben Palermo, Director for Guidance Services.
The next venues include Sipalay National High School (Jan. 21), Candoni Municipal Sports Center (Jan. 22), Sagay National High School (Jan. 24), Don Salvador Sofronio Carmona Memorial National High School in Don Salvador Benedicto (Jan. 27), and Calatrava Senior High School (Jan. 30).
Senior high school students from nearby schools are also encouraged to attend and take the admission test.
Students taking the test must complete the application form, which will be provided before the test. They are required to bring their Learner’s Reference Number, two pieces of 2×2 ID photos, a black ballpen, a pencil, and an eraser.
“This off-site testing is in addition to the upcoming admission testing this February at our four campuses for students who have reserved slots through our online portal,” Palermo added.
During the registration period from December 27, 2024, to January 9, 2025, a total of 20,600 slots were reserved for the February in-campus admission testing.
