The Choco Mucho Flying Titans have kicked off their Premier Volleyball League (PVL) off-season moves by signing veteran outside hitter Dindin Santiago-Manabat for the upcoming Reinforced Conference.
According to multiple reports, Manabat’s arrival to the Flying Titans was facilitated after her transfer from the Akari Chargers to the NXLED Chameleons fell through.
Initially, Manabat was set to play for the Chameleons following a sister-team swap proposal that the PVL announced on May 22, 2024.
However, the transfer did not materialize, leaving Manabat’s camp with the option to secure her release from the Akari franchise.
Manabat’s addition to the All-Filipino Conference runners-up will be a significant boost, providing additional firepower to Choco Mucho’s already talented roster.
Her presence will also be crucial as Des Cheng and Kat Tolentino, Choco Mucho’s offensive stars, are still recovering from injuries.
With the deal set to be officially announced by the Flying Titans and the PVL, Manabat will join a team that includes Cherry Nunag, Sisi Rondina, Deanna Wong, Maddie Madayag, and Mars Alba.
She will also play under the guidance of new head coach Dante Alinsunurin. Her final role with the team is yet to be determined.
As of now, both the Chargers and the Flying Titans have yet to release their respective official statements regarding the player move.
