The Choco Mucho Flying Titans are having one of their best starts in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference after racking up their seventh consecutive win last November 21, 2023.
Choco Mucho stuck to their game plan and banked on its balanced offensive attack to dispose the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, 19-25, 25-8, 25-17, 25-19.
After a slow start which was capitalized by the Cargo Movers, the Flying Titans turned it up in the last three sets to complete the jaw-dropping reverse sweep.
The Flying Titans rode on a momentum-clinching 14-1 offensive run midway through the second frame that changed the complexion of the whole game.
Sisi Rondina once again led Choco Mucho after top-scoring her squad with 21 big points built from 21 successful attacks.
Aside from her brilliant scoring display, the high-flying outside hitter also contributed to the floor coverage department with 12 excellent receptions.
It was Rondina who sparked Choco Mucho’s 14-1 scoring run in the second set, finishing every back row offensive play dished out by Deanna Wong.
Isa Molde also continued her productive outing for Choco Mucho and chipped in 13 points and 14 excellent receptions.
Meanwhile, the tall frontcourt duo of Kat Tolentino and Cherry Nunag connived for 20 markers and three blocks.
“Buti na lang pagdating ng second set, third set, nakuha namin yung rhythm namin. Nakuha namin yung gusto naming mangyari sa loob ng court. Ayun, nakuha namin yung game,” said Flying Titans chief tactician Dante Alinsunurin.
Choco Mucho will look to extend a franchise-best eight-match winning streak on November 28, 2023, as the Flying Titans will take on the Gerflor Defenders.
On the other hand, the Cargo Movers are aiming to get out of their frustrating slump against the Chery Tiggo Pro Crossovers on November 25, 2023.
