The first professional 3×3 basketball league in the Philippines is finally kicking-off this October 21.

After receiving the go signal from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases, the Chooks-to-Go 3×3 league is all set and will take place inside Inspire Academy, Calamba, Laguna.

“We are grateful for the Inter-Agency Task Force composed of the Games and Amusements Board, Department of Health, and Philippine Sports Commission for giving us the clearance to hold our bubble. We would also like to thank Senator Bong Go for helping endorse our request to return to action,” said league owner Ronald Mascariñas.

With IATF’s decision regarding the Chooks 3×3, all the 12 participating teams will have their final practice before the season in UP Epsilon Chi Center in Quezon City.

On October 19, a preseason tournament will take place but before all teams can join, all players, staff and employees must first undergo RT-PCR testing.

Also, after their final practice schedule, all teams are required to be in their pre-bubble quarantine from October 8 to 13 in preparation for another series of RT-PCR tests.

“All of us are excited to get the ball rolling for our season. Everyone is affected by this pandemic and in our small way, we aim to give hope through the sport of 3×3 basketball,” added Mascariñas.
