After the Joint Administrative Order by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB), the Department of Health (DOH), and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) was signed last Monday, professional sports are sure to be back on track.

The signing of the Administrative Order is the key for the resumption of pro-sports practices and after thorough investigation and meetings by GAB, DOH, and PSC, the final guidelines and safety protocols for practices have been released.

Both basketball and football were already given the green-light to resume three weeks ago and both the PBA and the PFL will now buckle up and prepare for another step to getting back in action.

Under basketball, the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 squad was also given the permission to resume practice and is a good sign after FIBA already released playing dates for the 3×3 qualifiers.

The formidable squad of CJ Perez, Moala Tautuaa, Joshua Munzon, and Alvin Pasaol will be starting their training as soon as possible under the helm of world-renowned Stefan Stojacic.

“Finally, the wait is over. The JAO has been signed. Last month, I and Commissioners Ed Trinidad and Mar Masanguid approached the IATF and DOH to ask for their guidance on how to safely reboot the operations of professional sports in the country,” said GAB chairman Abraham Mitra.
