Food business organizations Chooks-to-Go and Bounty Fresh Group rewarded Paris Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo with a three million pesos incentive on August 25, 2024, held at the Festival Mall in Muntinlupa.

The rewarding ceremony took place as a part of the program at the grand opening of Chooks in Muntinlupa, another dine-in branch of the company.

Present during the awarding were Bounty Fresh Group Chief Executive Officer Atty. Kenneth Cheng, Vice President for Corporate Marketing and Chooks-to-Go Inc. Executive Vice President for Operations Patricia Cheng-Lim, and Chief Finance Officer Diane Choi.

As part of Bounty Fresh’s commitment to support the achieving Filipino athletes, the organization promised to hand Yulo a cash incentive, after his historic performance in Paris as the only Filipino to bag two gold medals in a single Summer Global Games edition.

Aside from Bounty, other organizations also pledged their gifts to Yulo, as well as the Office of the President that gave him 20 million pesos two weeks ago.

The Office of the President’s 20-million incentive to Yulo was in line with the Republic Act 10699, known as the National Athletes, Coaches, and Trainers Benefits and Incentives Act.

Under RA 10699, all Filipino athletes who delivered a gold medal to the Philippines will receive a bonus of 10 million pesos.

After winning the floor exercise and the men’s vault events in the Olympic artistic gymnastics, the Office of the President doubled his incentive, summing up to 20 million pesos.

With the pride and honor that Yulo was able to bring to the country, President Marcos also gave him the Presidential Medal of Merit.
