City library gives 250 modules to kids

The Iloilo City Public Library (ICPL) at second floor of City Hall is now giving interaction modules for children staying at home during the pandemic.

ICPL has produced and released some 250 modules since March for children four to 10 years of age to continue learning.

“Our interaction modules are available for free. And you can also check our Facebook page to print a copy. We decided to post this initiative as Mayor Jerry Treñas promotes online services of City Government,” said City Librarian Marion Aguirre.

“He (mayor) also stressed that education should not be set aside now that pupils have limited access to school. This is our way of helping educate children by providing educational material supplements. We reach out to the barangays,” she added.

ICPL prepared modules composed of Math, English, and Arts while Science and Mother Tongue will be produced soon.

ICPL’s staff and work from home employees have also brought and distributed modules in their respective barangays. (Alexandra Jover/Iloilo City PIO)
