ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Commission on Elections distributed 539,459 official ballots and indelible inks on Monday, May 5, to 16 towns and Roxas City in preparation for the May 12, 2025, national and local elections.
Atty. Salud Milagros Villanueva, provincial election supervisor for Capiz, said the ballots will be distributed to 773 clustered precincts.
She said there are no excess ballots as each has been pre-allocated based on the number of registered voters.
Last week, the Comelec also delivered 773 automated counting machines (ACMs) and other election paraphernalia to local election offices.
Villanueva said local government unit treasurers will receive the materials as authorized recipients, subject to verification by election officers.
Final testing and sealing of the ACMs will take place on May 7, supervised by the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police.
Machines will be opened and activated on election day, May 12.

Capiz 1st District has 286,934 registered voters.
Capiz 2nd District has 252,525 registered voters.
There are 270,074 male voters and 269,385 female voters across the province.
