ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 47-year-old construction worker who was found dead morning of Aug 28, 2019 was believed to be a victim of a hit-and-run.
Passersby found the body of Joemer Andrade of Brgy. Salocon Panitan, Capiz on the national highway. He suffered fatal head injuries, according to initial investigation.
According Mariano Barroa, he and the victim drank liquor Tuesday night at the house of their employer. He even dropped the victim near his house at around 10 p.m. before returning to his sleeping quarters.
Police believed that a car may have hit Andrade while crossing the street.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at Bailan District Hospital by Dr. Edison Harion.
