Contagion of the Yanson feud-2

By Modesto P. Sa-onoy

We have no report about what happened to the mediation of the conflict through Mandalagan Barangay Captain Arturo Parreño but I believe there was no conciliation because of the succeeding events. It was probably just a show to comply with legal requirements.

After yesterday’s column, I received a response about Marilyn Lopez, the woman who filed a complaint for the ejectment of CJ Nicolas Causing from the apartment in Sta. Clara Executive Village. The informant said that “she seems to be OVY’s lady.  She used to work at NLRC and that was probably how she and OVY met.  I heard that she handles the ground working and leg working activities for labor cases against Ceres.”

That is interesting whatever that “ground and leg working” involved that probably worked against the worker’s interest. The informant did not say whether she was moonlighting while employed in the National Labor Relations Commission or after she left. She must have been successful handling worker’s complaints against Ceres or Vallacar Transit Incorporated before NLRC that talks had circulated that many Ceres workers had little chance of winning against Ceres.

Whether she was involved in fixing conflicts need no confirmation but she must have the talent that she got that close to Olivia Yanson. It is not an easy path unless one is suitable to tactics of fixing things by whatever means.

The informant continues. Lopez was active during the “violent siege of Sambok and Mansilingan” Ceres terminals and was “always seen accompanying OVY.” Well, that was one conflict she failed to fix but apparently provided “hints” on how to fix that corporate conflict as it is the same tactics used in this Causing ejection attempt.

From the report she was in every scene in the Causing case. That is how close she is to Olivia Yanson, indicating indeed to be no stranger to fixing conflicts.

The informant did not say whether Lopez was given a special power by Olivia Yanson to file the complaint against the Causing family to vacate as well as lead the ejection effort, but we can presume she had the authority the way she acted.

She was also “photographed” in the company of a certain Atty. Pugoy and Baciwa General Manager Juliana Carbon when the electric and water facilities of the apartment were cut off.

Her subsequent role in the Causing controversy speaks of her closeness and usefulness to the Yanson matriarch. The informant claimed that Lopez also accompanied Olivia when they tried to pressure the guards deployed by Nico Causing in the apartment to protect his family. Olivia wanted the guards to give way so that she could take possession of the unit.

Lopez looks to be in command waving her baton like le grand marshal directing her troops and even those not under her. Let the source tell us her behaviour at the subdivision.

Lopez allegedly ordered their guards to “install in the Causing unit the sign ‘NO TRESPASSING, PRIVATE PROPERTY, OWNER: OVY’. She was also in full authority instructing even the subdivision guards not to allow the guards hired by Causing to enter the village for augmentation of the existing number.

Can a non-member of an association issue orders to the guards of the residential area? It appears she believed she does have the authority by the way she conducted herself. She was so bold because she radiated the power of her boss, and as later we learned, the tolerance and support of the association leadership.

On July 16, 2020, an Atty. Victoria R. Tagarao sent a “Notice to Vacate” to the Causing family. The lawyer claimed to also represent Olivia Yanson as the owner of the apartment. So now we have three forces ranged against CJ “Nico” Causing – a strong arm tactician, a suppliant association leadership, and a lawyer waving the power of the law if not of justice. These forces are backed by heavy guns – money and influence of the matriarchy.

New information shows that the president of Sta. Clara Executive Village Residents’ Association also got bitten by the contagion of the Yanson feud. Thus, the incidents in the subdivision went viral with rich ingredients for conversation within and outside the subdivision. The virus had spread so far. The village association officers are also aware.

I’ll continue tomorrow.
