ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police are probing deeper into the case of a pregnant 17-year-old girl who was found dead inside her room Saturday morning in Brgy. Tiza here.
The body of Inday (not her real name) is up for autopsy to ascertain the cause of her death and to find out if there was foul play or not.
According to Inday’s friend, the victim asked her through cellphone to buy fruits.
The friend obliged and brought the fruits to the victim’s house. But she was shocked when she saw the lifeless Inday on her bed.
The friend said Inday told her about her boyfriend and her pregnancy.
It was learned that the victim is six months pregnant.
Days before her death, Inday told her friend that she fractured her leg because of an accident, and she was using herbal medicine.
According to a certain Daisy, a barangay health worker, members of the Capiz Emergency Response Team (CERT) who went to Inday’s house found herbal medicines inside her room.
They believed that the victim may have died after taking the herbal medicine, but police are still confirming the information since the medicines were owned by her father.
