BACOLOD City – The Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) is preparing charges for acts of lasciviousness against a taxi driver who allegedly harassed his 16-year-old female passenger last Wednesday.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana, public information officer of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the taxi driver has already been identified by authorities through the help of the operator or owner of the taxi unit.
This, after the victim went to Police Station 4 last Thursday, to formally report the incident.
Last Wednesday, the victim shared on her social media account her experience with the taxi driver.
According to her, the taxi driver touched her lap while she was sitting at the front seat on her way to meet her friend.
The victim even posted videos and photos of the taxi driver’s action. But she failed to get the car plate due to fear.
Fortunately, the victim was able to take a photo of the taxi driver, though she didn’t post it online.
The post went viral until it caught the attention of the authorities, prompting them to reach out to the victim.
Gabana said the police will file the case on regular filing and will wait for an arrest warrant to apprehend the suspect.
