BACOLOD City – Personnel of Police Station 7 is looking for the owner of a dark gray sedan that was found abandoned in Barangay Mandalagan here last Tuesday, a few hours after the robbery of a restaurant at Barangay Alijis here.

Police Captain Elmer Bonilla, head of Police Station 7, said they checked the owner of the car with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and they found out that the vehicle had already been repossessed by the bank.

Bonilla said the first owner of the car has already cleared his name.

Police are coordinating with the bank to check the new owner of the vehicle.

From there, Bonilla said they could possibly track the perpetrators if the abandoned car was the same vehicle used by the robbers.

Three unidentified armed men robbed a restaurant in Barangay Alijis early that day, but only the vehicle of the restaurant owner was recovered, while the motorcycle of a food delivery rider is still missing.

Bonilla said they believe that the suspects might be part of a notorious group or could also be a new group.

He said they already have persons of interest in the case.
