Four persons were arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation afternoon of September 9 in City Proper district, Iloilo City.

Police identified the suspects as live-in partners Angelica Bolivar, 24, and John Ray Roque, 27; Elena Brillantes, 58; and John Lee Bolivar, 31.

All are residents of Zone 2, Barangay Rizal Pala-Pala, City Proper.

Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 6, together with the Iloilo City Police Station 1, arrested the four after they allegedly connived in selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P12,000 to a police poseur-buyer.

When police scoured the area, they recovered 35 more sachets of suspected shabu and several non-drug items.

Captain Glenn Soliman, RPDEU-6 team leader, said the seized illegal drugs weighed around 75 grams and were valued at P510,000.

Soliman said Angelica and Roque were the targets of the operation.

They were placed under surveillance for about a month before the operation was conducted.

The four suspects are now detained and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
