The Regional Trial Court of Nueva Vizcaya has issued an order denying the application for a Temporary Environmental Protection Order (TEPO) against the Didipio Mine operations, a ruling that OceanaGold Philippines Inc. welcomes.
The Court said it is “not convinced at this point that there is immediate or irreparable harm to the environment to justify the issuance of TEPO,” especially given that the petition did not present clear and convincing evidence.
OceanaGold emphasized its adherence to rigorous environmental and operational standards, citing a three-year process culminating in the renewal of their mining contract confirmed by the government.
Atty. Joan Adaci-Cattiling, President and General Manager for External Affairs and Social Performance, expressed appreciation for the supportive environment fostered by local government units and communities.
The decision is seen as a significant affirmation of the mining company’s practices.

The Didipio Mine, under OceanaGold’s management, is noted for its contribution to the local and national economy, with OceanaGold being an intermediate gold producer operating globally for over 30 years .
